Living

Good Morning, my beautiful people. How was your night, while mine was fantastic,I woke up today with a big smile. Yes, I woke up happy and in good health, am alive, am living. 

Even though you woke up today, at the wrong side of the bed or you woke up feeling gloomy and sad. Cheer up I have good news for you God is still on the throne, He is still the King of Kings plus you are also alive, you are not dead. Is that not enough reason to be thankful, do you know that thousands of people slept yesterday but did not rise today. Do you know that every second some one out there is dying. You are living, you are alive, is it not enough reason to praise God and praise Him with a smile.
I want to tell you a little about living. The dictionary will define living as having life; being alive; not dead. But is that all to it? When you have life and no purpose are you living or are you existing?
Before I go further let me differentiate between living and existing.
Living is not just having life in you, it is when that life you have has a purpose; it has a goal; it wants to accomplish something. In other words a meaningful life. But existing on the other hand when you have life but no purpose. Your life has no goal, its meaningless. You are still yet to find your purpose on earth.
Living is not easy. Finding one's purpose on earth is not easy. Cause from the day we are born till the day we die, there is always something missing. Always something we are running after. Always something that we seek, want, need and desire. And we meet obstacles upon obstacles on our journey to be happy and satisfied.
Sometimes it is the approval of our parents. Sometimes it is getting good grades. Sometimes it is finding a soul mate. Sometimes it is finding the right job. Sometimes it is having financial abundance. Sometimes it is following our passions. Sometimes it is reaching the social status that we cherish. You name it!
But what ever it is that you are looking for, one thing I know for sure is that you cant do it on your own. You need a friend to help you all through the way. You need a helper to catch you when ever you fall, you need a listener to listen to all your problems. In fact you need Jesus. Who is a better friend than Him, or a better comforter, or a better listener, or a better teacher. Be it a job you are looking for, or a soul mate you seek, or a social status you crave, don't do it alone. Allow Jesus help you, He is a friend.
