Question, What's the difference between a Fan and a Follower?

Can you be a fan and not be a follower?

Let's try and define each of these and see if we can figure this out:

Definition of a fan: An ardent devotee; an enthusiast.
Definition of a follower: A person who follows another in regard to his ideas, one who imitates, copies.


Are you a fan of Jesus? I certainly hope so. Are you a follower? If you really believe in Him and in His ideas, and if you attempt to imitate the way He does things, then YES.

OK, now back to the original question. Is it possible to be a fan and not a follower of Jesus Christ? How do each act? Does one do something that the other may not do?
