Curse

Deuteronomy 11 vs. 28-28
God does not have intentions to curse man. We were created in the image and likeness of God, and as his most cherished of all his creation, he has proved his love for us in varying ways. Even in the book of Genesis when man fell short (in the Garden of Eden) God didn’t curse man…he couldn’t curse man instead the ground was cursed for the sake of man. Genesis 3 vs. 17 “says And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life”. The curse was directed to the ground. This is to show that he loved Man so much that he couldn’t directly curse his creation.

Nevertheless, he has set before us a blessing and a curse; a blessing if we obey the commandment and a curse if we disobey. He didn’t curse us but rather gave us an option to either be blessed or be cursed. Man is faced with a choice. You either choose to be blessed or choose to be cursed.

We might be from a linage that had chosen to be cursed but the bible says that “if anyone be in Christ, the old things are passed away he/she is made new. This is another way God is showing his love for mankind. Even if you go astray or u were inducted into the sinful way of living either from birth or by choice, we still have an option of going back to God and He is willing to start afresh with us. It is never too late for you to comeback to God and enjoy the blessings reserved for his children.

The word CURSE has five letters. To avoid being cursed, we will take the letters one after the other.

C represents “Come to Jesus”. If you do not want to be cursed, you have to accept Jesus as your lord and savior. He has to be the author and finisher of your faith. You can only gain salvation trough Jesus and only through him can the blessings of God be unveiled to his children.

U represents “Understanding authority”.  Being born of Christ gives you an authority; it gives you an edge because you are not born of the flesh but of the spirit. When you are born of Christ, just like the son is born of the father, you inherit some traits. You have the power to heal the sick, stand your ground, and be like Jesus. Luke 9 vs.2 “and He sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick”.

R represents “rebuke Satan”.  James 4 vs. 7 “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. If you resist the devil, you will be free from sin and free from curses. When you let the devil into your life, you are prone to destruction. John 10 vs. 10 says “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly”.

S represents “see Gods Power”. Remember all God has done. He has the ultimate power. All power in heaven and on earth belongs to him. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He remained the same, he never changes. His word says greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. He can only come into you if and only if you accept Jesus as your Lord and savior. If you really understand the power of God, sin will be far from you because you will fear God. The bible says the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. See Gods power and remember you are His son and you carry Him in you.

E represents “expect Gods deliverance”. John 8:32 “and ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set ye free” when you are truly a child of God, just like a father answers the son when he calls God will always answer you. He will deliver you from evil.
