“Behold, I set
before you this day a blessing and a curse; A blessing, if ye
obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day: And a curse, if ye will not obey the
commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I
command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known”.
Deuteronomy 11
vs. 28-28
God does not have intentions to curse man. We were created in the image
and likeness of God, and as his most cherished of all his creation, he has
proved his love for us in varying ways. Even in the book of Genesis when man
fell short (in the Garden of Eden) God didn’t curse man…he couldn’t curse man
instead the ground was cursed for the sake of man. Genesis 3 vs. 17 “says And
unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and
hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat
of it: cursed is
the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life”. The curse was directed to the ground. This is to show that he loved
Man so much that he couldn’t directly curse his creation.
