"Treasure in heaven"

Luke 12:33, Matt. 6:20. I been coming here and writing blogs and comments since Aug. 2009, and every blog has been written from the house I am writing this one in. This is the last one I will write from here. I believe that what I have written goes on to a place where it will be considered treasure, or straw and wood. Our words and deeds do indeed matter, and we will answer for.

I could name many things, both in words, and in deeds, that I have done here. I have put a lot of time, labor, and money into this house, but it will not last. Only who and what we are and do in Jesus Christ, really matter. Or have any truly lasting value. Though we may concern ourselves with the wood, hay and stubble, our rewards or our loss will all concern our faith and our walk in Jesus Christ.

It is on the news right now, about what we write on the internet, being used by the government, to monitor its population I suppose. One has to wonder, among those who monitor, do they really and truly realize what this blog is about. In the end, when everything has been shaken, only that which is done for, in, and through JESUS CHRIST, will be considered treasure in heaven.

Our lives themselves will give witness, through our words and our deeds, what we really believed. James wrote about the relationship between our faith and our works. Faith is an action word. Your whole life has been action, and the words and the deeds will give witness of where and who your faith is really in. What do you and I really believe? Be assured folks, it can not, and it will not, be hid.

Jesus Christ said, "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Matt. 6:21. The words that He spoke are for all of us, as these are. The treasure that Jesus Christ speaks of here, is that which ones heart holds dear. Only the treasure that we seek and lay up in JESUS CHRIST, will last eternally. This house won't. All I have done regarding it, in time, money, labor, will be destroyed. But, some real treasure, shared from here, will not be.

The location will be changing. The subjects of the blogs will not. We can lay up the treasures Jesus spoke of, from anywhere. Even a jail cell, if life comes to that. Some of what the apostles wrote and shared, came from that type of place. Is our heart in it enough that our faith in Christ would put us there too? God forbid that anything else would  God Bless all in our Lord Jesus Christ. Give glory and praise to HIM. Lay up treasure in heaven, not earth.
