Abuja: Minister commissions NYSC clinic
The Minister of State for the FCT, Oloye Olajumoke Akinjide has commissioned a health facility project by a 2012 Batch A corps member, Dr Kareem Adeyemi in Kubwa Abuja, and also tasking on other youth
corps members to emulate such commendable projects. The Minister who was represented by the Director Finance and Administration, Alhaji Salihu Kallamu described Dr Adeyemi as a promising youth with a big heart ready to serve his father's land.
In the minister message, she charged the youth on the need to be self-reliant and not wait for the government to provide them jobs but use the training given to them during their orientation programme to be self sufficient and create wealth.
The representative of the director general, NYSC Mrs. Elizabeth Adimorah while giving her remarks at the commissioning, described Adeyemi as a gift to the nation and called on other youths to emulate him.
Speaking with newsmen at the commissioning of the project that involved the reconstruction and remodelling of the NYSC camp clinic, Adeyemi said, "All I wanted to do was to give my host community the best healthcare service because the best is what they deserve."
He thanked the NYSC officials for their support as well as other well meaning Nigerians who provided him with the needed fund and support during the project.
The main scope of the reconstruction work include plastering and painting of the interior and exterior of the consulting and pharmacy rooms, mini-wards, toilet and bathroom; replacement of the ceiling, windows and the door system; creating new plumbing and electrical systems and creating interlocking floor for them entire clinic compound.
